The governing board of the Florida Workers' Compensation Joint Underwriting Association meets today to approve the blueprint for its own reorganization -- as part a legislative mandate to make it ready to apply for tax-exempt status by Jan. 1.
FWCJUA Executive Director Laura Torrence said Monday the complex set of proposed bylaws e-mailed to board members and other interested parties Friday is a work in progress.
She said the bylaws must address a series of nuts-and-bolts issues not covered in Senate Bill 1894, which Florida lawmakers passed this session.
