The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development approved Johnson Youth Center of Juneau for the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award because the facility has "outstanding employee safety and health programs."
Dennis Weston, superintendent of the center said the recognition "denotes the continued development and ongoing implementation of an exemplary safety management system."
