MI Attorney Defaults Work Comp Malpractice Case

According to a recent story published by the Daily Telegram out of Michigan, Detroit attorney, Joseph Kierpiec had a default judgment of over $76,000 entered against him Monday in a legal malpractice case where it was alleged he failed to properly handle a work comp claim.The case was brought last year by Adrian resident Gilbert Perez. The complaint alleged that Kierpiec was hired to represent Gilbert in a work comp case arising out of a 1991 workplace accident when Perez' left arm was caught in a paper cutter at Sorenson Paperboard Co. in Palmyra.
