Former Director of Workers' Compensation Laura Collins was named by the governor to a high-ranking post in Vermont's new Labor Department.
She will serve as general counsel when the department becomes operational July 1, Gov. Jim Douglas said in announcing a leadership team.
Collins is the commissioner of Labor and Industry, which is being merged with the Department of Employment and Training to form the state's Labor Department.
