FL House Committee May Take Up Comp Today

The Florida Legislature convened yesterday in a special session on a new state budget and House leaders began work on workers' compensation as well. The special session is scheduled to run through May 27. This became necessary when the 2003 regular session ended May 2 without passage of a $50 billion-plus new Florida state budget and House/Senate agreement on several other key issues.
