Company Owner, Officer Booked in Fraud Case

The owner of a Sugarloaf, N.Y., home-improvement business and a company officer are suspected of lying about a man's employment to cover up cheating on their workers' compensation premiums, the New York State Insurance Fund said Friday. Orange County Sheriff's deputies on July 5 arrested Rocio Ayaquica, 34, and Julio Leal-Tomax, 31, of Chester, N.Y. They each were charged with felony violations of two sections of the workers' compensation law.
