California Governor Gray Davis Friday announced the consolidation of several state departments into a new Labor and Workforce Development Agency.The new agency contains the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), the Employment Development Department (EDD) along with their boards and commissions, the Workforce Investment Board and the Agricultural Labor Relations Board.
