New Bar President Includes Diversity on His Agenda

Newly elected California Bar Association President Jeffrey Bleich said he intends to strengthen the young lawyer division and promote a pipeline program designed to interest young people, especially those from underrepresented minorities, in law careers. The 211,00-member organization elected Bleich, 46, to the group's presidency on a first ballot. Bleich, who is a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson in San Francisco, will be sworn in Sept. 29 at the Bar annual conference in Anaheim.
