Plymouth Corrections Officer Charged with Fraud

A former corrections officer allegedly injured on the job has been indicted on charges that he fraudulently collected more than $55,000 in disability pay, Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly announced yesterday. Antonios Sarantos, 35, of Plymouth was indicted by a Suffolk County grand jury on one count each of workers' compensation fraud and larceny over $250. He is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 21 at Suffolk Superior Court. Sarantos is a former corrections officer for the Commonwealth. The Department of Correction (DOC) referred the matter to the Attorney General's Office in April...
