Jurisdiction for Alabama Accident Lies with Mississippi

The Alabama Court of Civil Appeals decided that that Mississippi workers' compensation system has jurisdiction over a claim filed by a contractor's employee who was injured out of state. The employee worked for a Mississippi-based contractor, but the man was injured on a job in Alabama. His employer paid workers' compensation benefits under the Mississippi schedule, but the man protested and asked for Alabama benefits instead.
