Vermont Doctors Unhappy With Fee Proposal

Vermont is pushing to reduce the annual medical costs to the workers' compensation system and physicians' fees are being targeted. The state Department of Labor has proposed rules that would freeze the treatment fees for doctors at 1995 levels, the Associated Press reported this week. The Vermont Medical Society maintains that the state is pushing too hard by pegging the fee schedule to medical costs of a decade ago.
