The Cleveland office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a document-shredding company where a 19-year-old worker lost his lower extremities in an industrial accident earlier this year.
The Jan. 15 accident nearly killed Andrew Holcomb, who was working on a shredder at Akron-based Neoshred when the machine started up and pulled him into the blades, the Akron Beacon Journal reported this week.
Holcomb, who was amputated at the torso, remains hospitalized at a therapeutic center, his father told the Beacon Journal.
