Pharmacy Benefit Managers Disclosure Law Upheld

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused review of an appellate court decision upholding a state law in Maine that requires pharmacy benefit managers to disclose rebates, conflicts of interest, and discounts from drug manufacturers to their employer-clients. The decision in Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) v. Rowe leaves standing a decision by the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals that states have a right to regulate pharmacy benefit managers.
