The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation announced Wednesday it will return $52 million to injured workers whose claims the monoline insurer reduced through subrogation as part of a statute that has since been declared unconstitutional.
The reimbursement will be paid to about 7,900 injured workers whose claims were subrogated by BWC under the 1993 and 1995 subrogation statutes, the agency announced.
