After months of consternation by the health care industry about the work comp effects of the small pox vaccination campaign, the Bush administration yesterday proposed an independent compensation fund for those sustaining injury or illness from the inoculation. The plan calls for the payment of $262,100 to survivors of vaccination recipients who die or are permanently and totally disabled, and would be in addition to any other death benefit.
