Drug supplier Christopher Manfuso not only paid workers’ compensation doctors illegal kickbacks for dispensing pricey drugs, he actively coached them on what to prescribe.
“The Lenza patch cost $34 and reimburses at $160,” Manfuso wrote in a May 2014 email to one physician. “Most of our doctors are having their patients use this product at night and the LidoPro cream (cost $21, reimburse $465) during the day.”
