Predesignation Regs Might Cause Controversy

New rules pending final approval by the California Office of Administrative Law will clear up a lot of speculation on how predesignation will be handled under SB 899 and fuel some controversy too, a defense attorney says. Jake Jacobsmeyer, with the law office of Adelson Testan & Brundo in Concord, said in a recent memorandum that the rules "are certain to generate controversy as they answer many questions regarding not only predesignation but other issues of interest regarding receipt of medical care and selection of treating physicians."
