Webinar to Examine 10 Years of Work Comp Benchmarking Study Data, Reveal How High-Performing Claims Organizations Are Surpassing Trends

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 | 534 | 0

Chicago, IL June 14, 2023 Experts from Rising Medical Solutions' annual Workers' Compensation Benchmarking Study will dissect a decade's worth of benchmarking study data in a free webinar on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. The webinar, entitled "What 10 Years of Data Reveals About High-Performing Claims Organizations," will use the study's latest survey results to examine how claims management has (or has not) progressed since the study launched, predict where the industry is going, and recommend high-performance strategies for future organizational success.

Overall, 10 years of Benchmarking Study data indicates that the workers' compensation claims profession keeps getting better about what it is doing. Claims frequency is down. Claims closure rates are improving. More organizations are adopting an advocacy-based approach to supporting and empowering injured employees. That's the good news.

And yet, challenges remain. From increased staff turnover to struggles with remote work models to negotiating the AI frenzy and continued difficulty measuring medical provider performance, claims organizations have no shortage of obstacles to overcome.

Still, distinguishing themselves from the trendlines, high-performing claims organizations demonstrate moderate to major differentiators across 34 data variables that separate them from less successful peers in navigating the industry's persistent challenges.

In this one-hour webinar, study experts will discuss how well the industry is advancing claims management best practices, provide real-world high-performance strategies, and forecast where claims management is headed based on current trajectories.

Moderated by Risk & Insurance® Editor-In-Chief Dan Reynolds, the webinar will feature:

  • Denise Algire, Director of Risk Initiatives & National Medical Director, Albertsons Companies
  • Tyrone Spears, Chief, Workers' Compensation Division, City of Los Angeles
  • Marcos Iglesias, MD, VP, Chief Medical Director, Travelers
  • Jason Beans, CEO & Founder, Rising Medical Solutions

Webinar registration is required and space is limited. Registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the 2022 Workers' Compensation Benchmarking Study Report, which will be published later this summer.
