Texas Mutual Insurance Co. announced Wednesday that Travis County district courts sentenced two men, in separate cases, on workers’ compensation fraud-related charges.Both cases involved so-called "double-dipping," in which claimants collect benefits for being too injured to work when they are actually gainfully employed, Texas Mutual reported.Texas law requires claimants to contact their workers’ compensation carrier when they return to work.The carrier said Roberto Espericueta of McAllen must serve one year of probation and pay $3,500 in restitution to Texas Mutual.Espericueta wo...
