Despite rumors to the contrary, one of the country's largest providers of health care services to the workers' compensation industry is not planning to lay off significant numbers of employees.
Because of the nationwide pandemic and economic slowdown, One Call has offered “a handful” of employees a severance plan, said Jessica Taft, vice president of marketing. A handful means fewer than 10 out of a company workforce of 2,000, she said.
