The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations adopted a new heat illness regulation requiring businesses to identify heat-related hazards and create a written plan to mitigate them.
Businesses with more than 10 employees are required to perform a one-time analysis of working conditions that could cause heat illness, under the new rules. The analysis is required only for job classifications where a majority of workers have occupational exposure to heat illness for more than 30 minutes in any 60-minute period, excluding breaks.
