A former Southern California hospital executive serving a prison sentence for fraud won’t be released early despite concerns over his exposure to COVID-19, a federal judge ruled.
Michael D. Drobot, 75, had asked California’s Central Federal District Court to release him from prison so he could live with his significant other and work in an administrative role at a hospital or public health facility treating COVID-19 patients, according to a motion filed last month.
