The Kentucky House of Representatives is poised to pass today a bill that would increase permanent disability benefits by 10% and make numerous cost-saving reforms to the system, but a lawmaker has introduced an amendment that would boost benefits far more than the original proposal.
House Bill 2, by Rep. Adam Koenig, R-Erlanger, would increase maximum permanent total disability benefits to 110% of the state’s average weekly wage, and permanent partial disability benefits to 82.5%.
