IAIABC Going Virtual With 106th Convention

Friday, June 19, 2020 | 0

The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions announced that its board of directors elected to hold the 106th convention in September as a virtual event due to the health risks and other challenges associated with an in-person conference during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme for this year’s IAIABC convention is “transform.” The entire workers’ compensation industry has had to transform itself in many ways throughout the last few months, and will continue into the future, IAIABC said in a statement.

IAIABC said convention programming will be offered over a four-week period throughout September. By offering programming over an extended period of time, the IAIABC said it hopes participants can more easily fit sessions into their workdays.

The program will include a combination of presentations, discussion forums and committee meetings. If participants are unable to attend a session live, much of the programming will be available on-demand for later viewing.

IAIABC said a schedule and registration information will be available July 10.
