The long-running legal battle over roughly $860 million that trial and appellate courts say the state Bureau of Workers’ Compensation owes to thousands of businesses has become an issue in Gov. John Kasich’s re-election campaign, the Toledo Blade newspaper reported.
While the BWC has appealed the case to the state Supreme Court, a group of businesses eager for refunds has purchased television ads demanding that Kasich urge the board to drop the appeal.
