PEO Lever1 Makes List of Fastest-Growing Companies

Lever1, a Kansas City-based professional employer organization, has been recognized by Inc. magazine as the fastest growing company in Missouri.

On a national level, Lever1 ranked No. 44 in the Inc. 500, which is the magazine’s list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

The company, which was founded in 2012, posted a three-year growth in sales of 6,560%. Its services include payroll, human resources, employee benefits and workers’ compensation insurance.

In September 2016, Lever1 announced it was partnering with Truss LLC, the second-largest independent insurance brokerage in the Kansas City area.

The companies worked together to roll out a new insurance package. Lever1 is now drawing larger clients that might have their own HR staff but want to take advantage of the low insurance rates, Lever1 President Erica Brune told the Kansas City Business Journal.

Lever1 is also adopting new technology, including a mobile platform it plans to soon launch that will allow workers to clock in and out from their mobile devices, the Business Journal reported. The platform will be able to identify the worker’s location.
