Prosecutors throughout California will receive more money to fight workers’ compensation fraud, thanks to both a larger assessment for the current fiscal year as well as a decision to distribute unspent money from the last fiscal year.
Grant disbursements could increase further next year as the Fraud Assessment Commission on Sept. 5 voted to increase next year’s aggregate assessment, by 8%.
