Of the myraid potential explanations for higher workers' compensation claims costs and frequency in the Los Angeles region, there one potentially simple explanation: A large number of Latinos.
During a legislative hearing in Downey on Wednesday, California Applicants' Attorneys Association legislative chairman Bernardo de la Torre, said statistics show Latinos suffer a disproportionate number of workplace injuries.
