The U.S. Postal Service has overpaid more than half of the injured workers in cases examined in an audit by the USPS inspector general.
The audit found the Postal Service made duplicate payments in 97 of 155 cases analyzed. Under the federal workers' compensation system, postal workers are allowed continuation of pay immediately following an injury, before comp benefits kick in.
