Next Insurance Expands Workers' Compensation to 24 Additional States

Next Insurance on Wednesday started selling workers’ compensation coverage in 24 states including Alaska, Mississippi and West Virginia.

The expansion brings to 30 the number of states where Next Insurance offers work comp coverage. The company was already offering coverage in states that include Florida, Illinois and Texas prior to Wednesday’s announcement.

Next said it offers coverage starting at $14 per month while also allowing small-business owners to purchase general or professional liability and commercial auto coverage at the same time.

The company, headquartered in Palo Alto, California, said it plans to continue expanding and offering comp in more states in 2021.

States that Next added to its coverage area Wednesday include Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, 
Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and
West Virginia.

Next also offers workers’ compensation insurance in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada and Texas.
