The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration this week released updated guidelines for inspections of hospitals and health care settings in an effort to reduce worker exposure to tuberculosis, a disease that kills 1.5 million people per year, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Labor and Centers for Disease Control.
