OAKLAND, Calif. — California’s Division of Workers’ Compensation nearly canceled its annual Educational Conference in Oakland this week after reports that coronavirus had begun to spread within the state, DWC Administrative Director George Parisotto said.
“I think the question people are asking themselves is, ‘Why are we here?’” Parisotto said. “Whether or not we were going to have this conference was really a topic of discussion.”
