The California Workers’ Compensation Institute reports that about 1,000 more claims for COVID-19 were filed in November than in October, marking the first month-to-month increase since June.
“The new data on COVID-19 claims reported as of Dec. 14 shows that after declining from this summer’s peak of 9,626 COVID-19 claims in June to a seven-month low of 1,442 claims in October, the monthly tally of COVID-19 claims recorded by the state’s Workers’ Compensation Information System increased 69.7% to 2,447 in November,” CWCI said in a bulletin issued Tuesda...
