Workers' compensation claims with incurred losses of at least $3 million have been on the rise in recent years, according to a study by 10 rating agencies throughout the country.
And while these so-called “mega claims” can pop up around the country, California and New York account for 32% of all such claims in the study, which examined data from accident years 2001 through 2017.
