DOJ: SoCal Man Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy, Wire Fraud Charges in Massachusetts

A Los Angeles man pleaded guilty to three felony counts of conspiracy and wire fraud stemming from his time living in Massachusetts after he helped his employers defraud their workers’ comp carrier and the IRS, the U.S. Department of Justice announced this week.  Julio Lopez, 43, conspired with multiple employment agencies in Worcester, Massachusetts, by helping them lie about how many employees they had and how much in wages they were paying, the DOJ said in a news release Tuesday.
