The California Senate on Tuesday unanimously passed a bill that would expand the presumption that skin cancer is work-related for peace officers with the state departments of Fish and Wildlife and Parks and Recreation.
On the same day the Senate voted 38-0 to send AB 334 to the governor, the upper chamber also voted 40-0 to return AB 1681 to the Assembly for concurrence in recent amendments. AB 1681 would allow the insurance commissioner to convene meetings with carriers and self-insured employers to discuss potential fraud.
