The state Department of Labor & Industries says it will soon start a new spoken language interpreter scheduling system this fall.
The new online system will allow health care providers and counselors to schedule interpreters using a mobile device or personal computer, L&I announced in a news release.
Officials selected Interpreting Works, a company that offers services for the deaf and blind, to implement the system, which will comply with a new state law to create access to interpreter services, according to the news release.
