A new study by the National Council on Compensation Insurance found there is "no convincing evidence" that the COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected injured workers’ access to quality care last year.
And while researchers aren’t yet sure how delayed treatments will impact claim costs overall, delays in care caused by the pandemic were relatively limited, both in the window when postponements occurred and in precisely how long workers waited during that time frame, according to the study.
