The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board posted information for how system users can participate in a telephonic hearing Friday and provide testimony regarding proposed changes to attorney fee rules.
The proposed rules would require consideration of a claimants’ attorney’s contingent hourly rate when determining what constitutes a reasonable fee. The rules would also allow a claimants' attorney to request bifurcation of the attorney fee determination from the merits of certain cases.
