A Southern California attorney accused of participating in a $22 million kickback scheme was sentenced to 14 months in federal prison and ordered to pay more than $35,000 in restitution.
Lee Mathis was sentenced Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for Southern California. On Dec. 13, Mathis was ordered to pay $11,450.35 in restitution to AIG, and another $23,934.66 that will be set aside in case any additional victims make claims.
