The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is changing the threshold dollar amount that triggers the agency’s attempt to recover conditional payments made in workers’ compensation claims.
In an announcement on Wednesday, CMS said it will not seek recovery of conditional payments made on workers’ compensation claims falling under a $750 threshold, as long as there is no ongoing responsibility for medical payments.
