The Spokane Journal published a news report Thursday urging the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries to reconsider a proposed 4.8% average rate increase.
If necessary, the agency could further draw down its reserves to avoid charging more for work comp coverage, according to the newspaper’s staff report.
