The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California next week will consider three regulatory changes in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, including the exclusion of coronavirus claims from experience rating modifications.
WCIRB’s Classification and Rating Committee will hear the proposed rule changes Tuesday as workers, employers and industry officials continue to deal with the economic fallout from the coronavirus outbreak.
For individual employers, the proposed changes would exclude COVID-19 claims with accident dates on or after Dec. 1, 2019.
