Florida insurance representatives on Tuesday identified medical reimbursement problems that the workers' compensation system does not provide easy answers for, and they said they want regulators to help out.
In many cases, doctors may argue that they're not part of a preferred provider organization and can't be bound by the PPO's lower reimbursement rates. But the PPO won't share the contract between the provider and the physician, said Denise Carter, director of medical management with Sarasota-based FCCI Insurance Group.
