Fitch Ratings released a report detailing the growth of Berkshire Hathaway’s influence on commercial lines within the United States, with workers’ compensation being the key driver in its expansion.
Berkshire Hathaway, most known for being one of the largest property and casualty insurers in the U.S. with operating franchises like GEICO writing private automobile insurance, has expanded into commercial lines for the past five years, Fitch says, by expanding 125% to $5.6 billion through organic growth.
