TDI Announces 54 Disciplinary Actions

Texas Commissioner of Workers' Compensation Rod Bordelon last week announced final disciplinary actions taken against 54 insurers, employers and medical providers for violations of the Texas Labor Code and the rules of the state Division of Workers' Compensation.The violations include failure to timely pay medical bills, failure to pay indemnity benefits to injured workers and failure to establish the medical necessity of a preauthorized medical service or treatment.DWC said in the notice that disciplinary measures appealed to the State Office of Administrative Hearings may result in a...
