Filing Shows Sale to Cut Gates McDonald Workers

A state filing shows Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.’s sale of Gates McDonald and Co.’s workers’ compensation business will mean a new employer or termination for 84 employees of the subsidiary, Columbus Business First reported Tuesday.Business First reported Gates McDonald has informed the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services that it expects to sever ties with the business on April 17.
