AF Group Announces Executive Changes in Comp Division

AF Group announced five executive appointments in its workers’ compensation division, including Michelle McLane, who was named senior vice president of business development.

McLane brings a strong background in underwriting, broker relations and territory management to the position, AF Group said in a statement. Most recently she served as vice president of sales for M3 insurance, a partner agency of AG Group’s United Heartland brand.

To support McLane, Mike Valiante was promoted to vice president of business development for Accident Fund from his current position as vice president of business development for Third Coast Underwriters.

The company announced that Justin Bealhen, vice president of business development for United Heartland, will have an expanded role that includes loss control and business development oversight.

AG Group announced that Scott Babcock, vice president of customer operations and loss control at Third Coast Underwriters, will expand his responsibilities to include corporate loss control.

And Montell Taylor was promoted to vice president of operations for AF Group. Taylor will lead the company’s premium audit team, budget planning and expense management process.

AF Group is headquartered in Lansing, Michigan. Its subsidiaries include Accident Fund Insurance Co. of America, Accident Fund National Insurance Co., Accident Fund General Insurance Co., United Wisconsin Insurance Co., Third Coast Insurance Co. and CompWest Insurance Co.
