Bill to Bar No-Rehire Settlement Tactics Heading to Governor

Oregon lawmakers are sending Gov. Tina Kotek a bill that would prohibit employers from requiring injured workers to enter into a no-rehire agreement as part of settlement negotiations. House Bill 3471 would make it an illegal employment practice for an employer to unilaterally condition a settlement upon a worker agreeing not to seek further employment, reemployment or reinstatement.
