Two Ukrainian men pleaded guilty two weeks ago in Houston to conspiring to smuggle counterfeit medications into the United States.
Instead of containing life-saving cancer and hepatitis drugs, the pills the men sold to investigators were little more than over-the-counter heartburn treatments, according to the federal charges against the two.
